Scrap365 September Sketch Challenge - The Royal Collection (04.09.2014)

Good afternoon bloggers

I have managed to fit in some crafting again and had a go at the September Sketch Challenge over at Scrap365.   http://scrap365.blogspot.co.uk/  I always like to do this challenge and I really like the September sketch.
I was lucky enough to visit Buckingham Palace and The Royal Collection in London last month. I regularly meet up with my mainland girlfriends in London and we like to plan something each time. This time it was all things Royal! We had a lovely picnic in the park and visited The Royal Mews and, of course, The Palace!!
The photo on the layout was taken in the gift shop! We were having some fun with the throne display!!
The 12x12 background sheet is Core’dinations Ray G. Biu collection. The colour is absolutely stunning and fits in perfectly with the Royal theme. The purple glitter card is also Core’dinations. The red card is from the Serif Picnic in the Park 6x6 pack. The light coloured photo mount is from the Papermania Portobello Road collection.
The Royal themed “Delightful Doilies” and “London Scene Victorious Cake Pop Tops” came from John Lewis in the sale in 2012. I knew I would use them for scrapbooking when I purchased them.
The Crown topper card is from Papermania Chronology. The padded London stickers (flag and London scene) came from Accessorize. The cardboard circle is recycled packaging inked with Encore Metallic Gold ink. I have inked the edges with this ink, too. The printed wording came from leaflets. I have used my Trodat date stamp.

The vintage ribbon is Crafts Too. The brads came from my collection and they are Papermania.
I have also used foam pads, double sided tape, red double sided tape and silicone glue.

I am really pleased with the layout. As usual, I have used recycled items and free stuff. The stickers were a gift and some of the papers came free with magazines.
Here goes:-

Keep on crafting!
